The Career Technical Education (CTE) carpentry classes at Tucker County High School completed a 10’ x 12’ outbuilding with two windows and a walk-in door.
The building was started during the 2017-2018 school year with the finishing touching completed by the new CTE carpentry classes this fall. The building was relocated to Blackwater Fall State Park where it will be used as storage building for the Nature Center.
The funding for this project was received from the West Virginia Department of Education and Division of Natural Resources though an interagency partnership which enable students to gain work experiences while helping revitalize the state parks.
In the upcoming school year the classes have hopes of completing more out building and several picnic tables. All of which will be available for purchase. Monies received with help the purchase of more material for additional projects. If you are interested, contact the Tucker County High School CTE Carpentry instructor, Delbert Pennington.
