Tucker Valley Elementary Middle School sixth grade students of Mrs. Underwood and Mrs. Hood recently participated in a reading contest. The challenge was to see which class could read the most pages of books on their reading level.
Students had to pass a test on Accelerated Reader in order for their pages to count toward their class’s total.
In less than one month, the total pages read by 41 students was 14,936.
Both classes celebrated their accomplishments with a comfy reading day which included blankets, pillows, books, and snacks.
