Last week, the Davis Thomas Bears Golf team traveled to scenic Cacapon State Park in Morgan County to compete in a tightly contested five-team match. Despite a strong effort, the Bears finished 4th, just three strokes behind Romney Middle School.

Pendleton County captured first place with an impressive team score of 217, followed by Warm Springs in second with 234. Romney Middle secured third place shooting a 244, while the Bears posted a 247. Frankfort rounded out the field in fifth place.

Leading the Bears was Jarret Dearborn, who carded a solid 54. Close behind was Nolan Luzier with a 57, followed by Briar Arbogast’s 67 and Hunter Lipscomb’s 69. The team showed great determination throughout the round and remains optimistic about their progress.

The Bears are set to return to the links this week with two more matches on their schedule.
