ROMNEY – The Davis-Thomas Varsity Boys’ Basketball team traveled to Romney on Tuesday February 25th to play in the Semi-Finals of the PVL Tournament against Moorefield. The Bears got the victory by the final score of 40-35. Davis-Thomas was led in scoring by Maddox Anderson with 14 points and Trevan Bonner added 10 points for the Bears in the Semi-Final win.
HAMBLETON – The Bears Varsity Boys’ faced Tucker Valley at TCHS on Friday February 28th for the PVL Championship. Tucker Valley led after one quarter 13-9. The Wildcats maintained the lead at the half by the score of 24-19. Davis-Thomas fought back in the third to tie the score at 31-31 after three. The Bears built a 4 point lead with a little over 2 minutes remaining in the game, but Tucker Valley responded late to get the win to capture win by the score of 43-40.
Maddox Anderson led Davis-Thomas with 15 points and Trevan Bonner added 12 points for the Bears in the loss.
