Davis-Thomas Girls’ & Boys’ Basketball Update

THOMAS – The Davis-Thomas Boys’ Basketball teams hosted Harman for a varsity only contest on Monday January 20th. Davis-Thomas picked up the victory by the final score of 59-25. Trevan Bonner led the Bears with 10 points and Maddox Anderson added 8 points in the win for Davis-Thomas.
THOMAS – The Davis-Thomas Girls’ Basketball team hosted Moorefield for 2 games on Wednesday January 22nd. In the JV contest the Davis-Thomas JV team fell 31-17. Raven Matthews led the Lady Bears JV team with 8 points. In the Varsity game Davis-Thomas picked up the win by the score of 34-30. The Lady Bears were led in scoring by Mackenzie Darby with 16 points.
ROMNEY – The Bears Boys’ Basketball team traveled to Romney for a JV and Varsity contest on Thursday January 23rd. In the first game the Davis-Thomas JV team lost 31-24. The Bears JV were led in scoring by Logan Shahan with 8 points and Cole Carr added 4 points in the Davis-Thomas JV loss. In the varsity contest Davis-Thomas picked up the road win 40-29. Maddox Anderson led Davis-Thomas with 24 points and Trevan Bonner chipped in with 9 points in the Bears win.
THOMAS – The Davis-Thomas Boys’ Basketball team hosted Elkins on Friday January 24th for a JV and Varsity contest. In the JV game the Bears JV team fell 59-28. Cole Carr led the Davis-Thomas JV with 7 points and Reid Kisamore added 6 points for the Davis-Thomas JV. In the second game of the night the Davis-Thomas varsity team fell in a close contest 61-53. Trevan Bonner led the Bears with 25 points and Maddox Anderson added 18 points in the loss for Davis-Thomas.
The Davis-Thomas Girls’ will return to action tonight Wednesday January 29th at Tygarts Valley and then the Lady Bears will travel to East Hardy on Thursday January 30th. The Bears Boys’ team will travel to Petersburg tonight Wednesday January 29th. The Davis-Thomas Girls’ and Boys’ teams will play games against Tucker Valley at TCHS gym on Saturday February 1st.
