THOMAS – The Davis-Thomas Girls’ Basketball teams hosted Petersburg for 2 games on Monday January 27th. In the first game of the night the Davis-Thomas Girls’ JV team fell to Petersburg 32-12. The Lady Bears JV team was led by Isabella Bennett and Emerson Cangley with 4 points each. In the Varsity game Davis-Thomas fell by the final score of 41-29. Mackenzie Darby led the Lady Bears with 12 points and Rachel Felton added 5 points in the loss for Davis-Thomas.
THOMAS – The Bears Boys’ Basketball teams traveled to Petersburg on Wednesday January 29th for 2 games. In the first game the Davis-Thomas JV team fell by the score of 49-15. Reid Kisamore led the Bears JV with 7 points. In the Varsity game Davis-Thomas won the contest by the final score of 49-44. Maddox Anderson led the Bears with 22 points and Trevan Bonner added 9 points in the Davis-Thomas win.
MILL CREEK – The Lady Bears Basketball team traveled to Tygarts Valley for a JV and Varsity game on Wednesday January 29th. In the JV game the Lady Bears fell in the contest 25-22. Raven Matthews led Davis-Thomas JV with 10 points and Isabella Bennett added 6 points in the loss. In the second game the Davis-Thomas Varsity team got the win by the final score of 42-12. Rachel Felton led the Lady Bears with 12 points and Hannah Cussins added 10 points in the Davis-Thomas road win.
BAKER – The Davis-Thomas Girls’ Basketball teams traveled to East Hardy for 2 games on Thursday January 30th. In the JV game Davis-Thomas took the loss by the score of 44-32. Allison Liller led the Lady Bears JV team with 11 points and Isabella Bennett added 9 points in the Davis-Thomas JV loss. In the Varsity contest the Lady Bears took the victory by the score of 33-20. Ericka Zirk led Davis-Thomas with 16 points and Hannah Cussins added 8 points in the Lady Bears win.
HAMBLETON – The Davis-Thomas Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball teams traveled to TCHS Gym to face Tucker Valley on Saturday February 1st. In the Girls’ JV game the Lady Bears fell in the contest 29-16. Allison Liller led the Davis-Thomas JV with 6 points and Raven Matthews added 5 points for the Lady Bears JV in the loss. In the Girls’ Varsity game Davis-Thomas fell by the score of 28-26. The Lady Bears were led in scoring by Rachel Felton with 9 points and Ericka Zirk added 7 points in the Davis-Thomas loss.
In the Boys’ JV game the Davis-Thomas JV team got the win by the final score of 34-27. The Bears JV team was led in scoring by Logan Shahan with 14 points and Reid Kisamore added 9 points in the win for the Davis-Thomas JV team. In the last game of the day the Davis-Thomas Varsity team fell to Tucker Valley by the score of 59-32. The Bears were led in scoring by Maddox Anderson with 13 points and Reid Kisamore added 6 points in the Davis-Thomas loss.
The Davis-Thomas Boys’ Basketball teams will host Romney on Thursday February 6th. The Davis-Thomas Girls’ Basketball teams will return to action on Friday February 14th when they host Capon Bridge. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
