The Davis-Thomas Bears golf team turned in a solid performance Thursday afternoon at Valley View Golf Course, placing fourth in a competitive five-team match.

Leading the way for the Bears was Nolan Luzier, who shot a 47 to finish third overall individually, just three strokes behind the low medalist of the match. Luzier’s consistent play helped anchor the Bears’ team score of 244.

Also contributing to the team total were Jarrett Dearborn (61), Hunter Lipscomb (67), Bryson Mihalko (69), and Briar Arbogast (71), each adding valuable rounds on a challenging course.

Petersburg claimed the team victory with an impressive score of 205, followed by Pendleton County in second place at 213. Capon Bridge secured third with a 239, narrowly edging out Davis-Thomas. Romney Middle rounded out the standings in fifth place.

The Bears continue to show growth and potential as they progress through their season, with Luzier’s standout round highlighting the team’s ability to compete closely with strong programs.

The Bears will return to action at Highlands Golf Course in Pendleton County on August 20.
