The Davis-Thomas volleyball teams had a full week of competition and strong team play across multiple matches.
Earlier in the week, the Bears traveled to Central Preston, where both JV and varsity teams delivered thrilling performances. The JV squad battled through two intense sets, edging out Central with scores of 29–27 and 28–26. The varsity team followed up with a dominant showing, sweeping Central in straight sets. The first set was a nail-biter at 26–24, and the Bears closed it out with a 25–21 victory in the second.
On Friday night, Davis-Thomas made the trip to East Preston for another hard-fought matchup. Despite a strong effort, both JV and varsity came up short in three-set losses. Addison Fansler stood out for the JV squad with a strong performance from the service line, while Shaylea Wolfe impressed as a powerful server for the varsity team.
Looking ahead, Davis-Thomas is set to face Moorefield on Monday. The week wraps up with a special event on Thursday as the Bears host South Preston for 8th Grade Night.
