DT Bears Split Pair of Games with Green Bank and Kasson

The Davis Thomas Bears boys basketball team split a pair of games against Green Bank and Kasson.
In junior varsity action against Green Bank, the Bears came away with a hard-fought 23–18 victory. Braxton White led the way offensively, scoring 15 points to power Davis Thomas to the win.
Varsity play against Green Bank proved to be a tight defensive battle. The Bears trailed 8–4 at the end of the first quarter before rallying to tie the game at 14–14 by halftime. Green Bank edged ahead in the third quarter, holding a slim 20–18 lead entering the final period. Despite a strong effort, Davis Thomas was unable to close the gap and fell 33–28.
N. Luzier paced the Bears with 12 points, while E. O’Brien added 9 points. K. Kerr chipped in 5 points in the loss.
Davis Thomas bounced back in impressive fashion against Kasson, turning in a dominant performance for a 50–30 varsity victory. The Bears jumped out to a 13–5 lead after the first quarter and blew the game open before halftime, taking a commanding 35–12 advantage into the break. Davis Thomas continued to control the game in the second half, leading 42–20 after three quarters before sealing the win.
N. Luzier paced the Bears with 16 points, followed by E. O’Brien with 13 points. K. Kerr scored 9 points, and B. Sisler added 7 points to round out the win. The Bears will play again on Tuesday, December 22 at Capon Bridge.
