The Davis-Thomas Bears boys basketball teams opened their 2025 season with a challenging pair of matchups against a strong Moorefield squad. Both the JV and varsity Bears came up short on the scoreboard.
The JV Bears fought hard in their season opener but fell 46–14 to a disciplined and fast-paced Moorefield team. Davis-Thomas spread its scoring among several players, with: B. White 4 points; N. White 3 points and Baker 3 points.
In varsity action, the Bears displayed grit and hustle but ultimately fell 49–25. Davis-Thomas kept the game competitive early, but Moorefield pulled away with sustained pressure and efficient scoring.
The Bears were led by an offensive effort from O’Brien, who poured in 13 points, showing control throughout the night. Luzier and Huffman added 4 points each, contributing valuable minutes on both sides of the ball.
