HUTTENSVILLE – The Tucker County Softball team traveled to Tygarts Valley for a double header on Tuesday April 25th. The Lady Mt. Lions collected wins in both games to give them wins 1 and 2 on the season.
In the first contest Tucker County took the victory by the final score of 16-6. Maya Paul got the win for Tucker County on the mound. Camryn Cummings and Dominique Meadows collected 1 single each in the contest, while Paul had 2 stolen bases in the contest.
The second game of the night was also successful for Tucker County as the Lady Mt. Lions took the victory 14-3. Melanie Adams captured the win on the mound for Tucker County. Candy Cross scored 3 times for Tucker County and Elizabeth King scored two times and also had 2 stolen bases.
CAMP KIDD – The Lady Mt. Lions hosted Moorefield on Wednesday April 26th for a double header.
In the first game Moorefield got the win 12-0. In the second contest the Lady Yellowjackets also captured the game by the final score of 19-0.
Tucker County senior players Camryn Cummings and Melanie Adams were honored by the Tucker County coaching staff.
Tucker County(2-14) was scheduled to open Sectional play on May 1st at Moorefield and May 2nd at East Hardy or Pendleton County. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
