The Lady Mt. Lions of Tucker County High School hosted their first-round opponent of the regional tournament in the Harman Lady Panthers last Friday. The Lady Mt. Lions left no doubt in this one and took control from tip to final whistle. Tucker shot out to a 32-5 advantage after the first period, and the Lady Panthers would fail to score again until the fourth period as Tucker led 50-5 at the half and 67-5 at the end of third. Tucker played 13 different players with 11 of them scoring and the starters never saw the floor after halftime. This win sets up a matchup with the East Hardy Lady Cougars for the Regional Finals and a chance to make it to Charleston for the 21st straight season. Tucker won both regular season games against the Lady Cougars; the game in Baker went to OT with Tucker having a 1-point win and the game at home in Tucker was a 20-point win for the Mt. Lions. The game will be played on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 7:00 pm tipoff.
