Lady Mt. Lions Pummel Tygarts Valley 67-24 at Home

The Tucker County High School Lady Mt. Lions played their home opener on Friday, December 12th. Tucker wasted no time getting started, holding a 17-3 lead at the end of the first period. Tucker’s defense and tempo, along with some solid 3-point shooting, extended the lead before the break, as TC held a 40-12 advantage. The Lady Mt. Lions put the game away in the third quarter, outscoring the Lady Bulldogs 17-4 before the final period of play. Tucker cruised to victory with a final score of 67, yes,” SIX/SEVEN”– 24. As a team, Tucker dominated the glass, collecting a total of 64 rebounds, along with snatching 17 steals from Tygarts Valley. Tucker saw a very balanced offensive performance, with seven players scoring 6 points or more.

Tucker will return to action on December 16th at Petersburg, then return home to host the two-day Mt. Storm Invitational Holiday Tournament on December 19th and 20th.
