Lady Mt. Lions Stopped by Southern, Get Past Pendleton

The TCHS Lady Mt. Lions were handed their first home loss of the season this past week by the Southern (MD) Rams. Tucker came out of the gates on the slow side, managing just 7 points in the first and second periods to fall behind 31-14 at the half. Tucker’s offensive struggles continued in the third, as they scored just 3 points in the period. Tucker did find the goal at a better rate in the fourth to net the final at 54-32 in favor of Southern.

Tucker stayed home to finish the week with a regional opponent in Pendleton County. Tucker held Pendleton to just 5 points in the first and 9 points in the second to take a 22-14 lead into the break. TC blew up for 24 points in the third period to take a 19-point lead into the fourth at 46-27. Tucker had another productive fourth period to put the Wildcats away at 59-43 for the final score.
