LADY MT. LIONS VOLLEYBALL DROP ROAD GAME, WIN AT HOME

KINGWOOD – The Tucker County Volleyball team traveled to Preston on Tuesday October 5th for a JV / Varsity contest.

The Lady Knights JV won the JV match 2-0 as Preston won Set 1: 25-15 and Set 2: 25-20.  In the Varsity match Preston took Set 1: 25-14.  The Lady Tigers got the Set 2 win in a close score 25-23.  Preston then ended the match with a Set 3 win 25-20 to get the match win 3-0.

 

HAMBLETON – The Lady Mt. Lions hosted Tygarts Valley for a JV/ Varsity contest on Thursday October 7th.

In the JV match Tucker County got the match win 2-1(22-25, 25-11, 25-22).  In the Varsity contest Tucker County got off to a slow as they trailed early in Set 1: 2-7.  The Lady Mt. Lions fought back to tie the score at 15-15.  Tucker County then took the lead and went on to win Set 1: 25-20.  Set 2 started slow again for Tucker County as they got behind 3-0 before making the score 4-4.  The Lady Mt. Lions then got behind 6-8 to the Lady Bulldogs before the offense picked up.  Tucker County then went on a 18-2 run to make the score 22-10.  The Lady Mt. Lions then went on to win Set 2: 25-12.  In set 3 Tygarts Valley could not force a 4th Set as Tucker County would jump out to a 7-0 lead and then the Lady Mt. Lions would breeze to a 25-9 win in Set 3 to win the match 3-0.

 

The Lady Mt. Lions will travel to South Harrison tonight Wednesday October 13th.  Tucker County will then travel to Union for a Quad match on Tuesday October 19th.  For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
