HAMBLETON – The Tucker Valley Girls’ Basketball team hosted Moorefield for a JV and Varsity game on Wednesday December 11th. In the JV contest Tucker Valley picked up a hard fought victory by the final score of 21-16. Emily Snyder led the Lady Wildcats in the JV contest with 8 points and Maddy Helmick added 5 points in the win for the Tucker Valley JV. In the second game of the night the Tucker Valley varsity team led Lady Yellowjackets 22-20 at halftime, but the Lady Wildcats outscored Moorefield 29-15 in the second half to get the win by the final score of 51-35. Macy Helmick led Tucker Valley in scoring with 22 points and Brylee Wetzel added 18 points for Tucker Valley in the victory.
The Lady Wildcats(2-1) will return to action on Tuesday December 17th against Petersburg at home. Tucker Valley will then travel to Union on Thursday December 19th and then the Lady Wildcats will play Davis-Thomas at TCHS on Saturday December 21st with the Girls’ JV game starting at 2:30pm.
