In varsity action, Tucker Valley set the tone early in a defensive battle. The Lady Wildcats held a slim 6–5 lead at the end of the first quarter before extending the advantage to 13–5 by halftime.
Tygarts Valley made a push in the third quarter, closing the gap as Tucker Valley clung to a 19–18 lead at the end of the period. Refusing to let the game slip away, the Lady Wildcats responded with their strongest quarter of the night, outscoring Tygarts Valley down the stretch to obtain a 31–22 victory.
M. Owens led Tucker Valley with 8 points, while K. Slaughbuagh and M. Evans each added 6 points. M. Lambert chipped in 5 points. The Lady Wilcats will play again on January 2 in the Belington Holiday Tournament.
