Jeremy Maxwell Tucker County Graduate 2005, and WVU Graduate has taken over the realm of Head Coach of the Buckhannon Upshur Lady Bucs in Buckhannon. Jeremy has for the past several seasons been Head Coach of the Buckhannon Upshur Middle school where he has had great success winning the Conference Championship for the past 2 years. Jeremy says that it all starts with hard work and defense, something he learned from his mentor and coach Tom Gutshall. He stated that You may not always be able to shoot the ball well, but there is no excuse for playing hard and good defense. I want to bring into the program the philosophy of Dean Smith who says that Playing hard, Playing together, and Playing Smart is what it is all about. I have coached a good many of the girls with the program, and I am happy to follow them on through their High School Career. He takes over for Tristen Gray who recently took over the Athletic Director. I want to try and make it as Up Tempo as possible, pressure defense, and fast breaks whenever the situation will allow. Jeremy has just received his Masters Degree from North Central University in Coaching. Jeremy and his wife Miranda make their home in Buckhannon and both teach at the Middle School.
