The Tucker County Cross Country team had an impressive showing at the Bearcat Invitational this past Saturday, with several athletes posting personal and season-best performances in a highly competitive field.
Leading the way for the Lady Mt. Lions was Estoria Chase, who ran a personal record of 20:37, earning her a 7th-place finish overall. Chase’s time stands as one of the top performances of the season for the girls’ team.
Addi Moats also had a strong race, running her season-best time of 22:34, which placed her 25th in the field. Lilly Collar rounded out the girls’ results, running her own season record of 32:44, finishing 94th out of 98 competitors.
On the boys’ side, Tucker County saw standout showings from several runners in a field of 130 finishers.
Lynk Suesli led the way with a blazing personal record of 17:18, which earned him 13th place and a medal. Cameron Judy also medaled, finishing 25th with a time of 17:59.
Alex Collar was close behind, running his season-best time of 18:01, good for 27th place. Sophomore Draven Bunnell continued to improve, running a personal record of 19:52, placing 60th.
With a few runners missing from the lineup, the Mountain Lions were unable to record a team score in the boys’ division. However, their presence was still felt on the course, as multiple athletes left their mark with strong individual results.
The Mountain Lions are now gearing up for the annual RUN FOR IT race, set for Saturday, September 27th. Community members are invited to support the team by joining the “Tucker Runners” team in the race.
