WEST UNION – The Tucker County Girls’ and Boys’ Cross Country teams traveled to Doddridge County on Tuesday September 17th to compete in the Doddridge Invitational. The Girls’ race would highlight 101 runners and a total of 11 teams. In the Boys’ race there were 155 runners and 13 teams total.
The Tucker County Girls’ ran the course first and finished in 6th place as a team. The Tucker County Girls’ finished as follows: 12th-Erin Chambers(22:44.86), 17th-Kate Falls(22:58.71), 34th-Hannah Hardy(25:18.21), 46th-Kristen Hicks(26:38.17), 52nd-Karlee Smith(27:20.99), 67th-Alaria Hudson(29:24.19), 70th-Addie Buckley(29:48.32), 71st-Kandace Nestor(29:56.56), 84th-Riley Rohrbaugh(31:27.94), 85th-Caitlin Fladung(31:38.95) and 90th-Olivia Myers(32:58.79).
The Tucker County Boys’ team finished 9th and the Mt. Lions runners placed as follows: 30th-Holden Young(19:55.45), 48th-Will White(20:59.85), 61st-Clay Poling(21:45.33), 87th-Wesley Strawderman(22:53.49), 120th-Taylor Long(25:12.23) and 126th-Trent Eure(26:20.97).
