Mt. Lions Rout the Rams but Fall to Panthers

The Tucker County Boys Basketball team had two big games this last week, both on the road. First, the team would travel to Oakland, MD to take on longtime rivals in the Southern Rams. Tucker would lead the games entirety and take the win back to West Virginia, 61-39. 

Bonner 16 pts, FT 2-4; Arnold 16 pts, FT 5-6; Wilfong 12 pts, FT 2-3; Marks 6 pts FT 2-4; Mitchell 5 pts; Lambert 2 pts; Dearborn 2 pts; Felton 2 pts. 

3 Point Goals 4-12: Bonner (2) Mitchell (1) Arnold (1)

 

Tucker would then take the 4-hour Saturday bus ride to Naugatuck to take on the Tug Valley Panthers for round two of the State Finals rematch from a season ago.  Tucker won the first matchup by 2 points in overtime at home but would fall to Tug Valley on the road 56-39. 

Wilfong 13 pts; Bonner 10 pts, FT 1-2; Marks 6 pts; Lambert 3 pts; Arnold 3 pts; Carr 2 pts; Cummings 2 pts FT 2-2. 

3 Point Goals 4-16: Wilfong (1) Lambert (1) Bonner (1) Arnold (1)  

 

Tucker will travel to Moorefield on February 6th to take on the Yellowjackets for their next contest, tipoff is set for 6:00pm.
