The Mt. Lions boys’ team had a standout performance, securing third place overall in team scoring with 67 points, finishing just behind host Keyser (52) and team champion Grafton (37). The rest of the field included Musselman (4th), Washington (5th), Frankfort (6th), and Berkeley Springs (7th).

Junior Cameron Judy led Tucker County with a personal record of 17:35, finishing 3rd overall. Close behind was Lynk Suesli, who ran a strong 17:42 for 4th place. Alex Adkins was the third Tucker runner to cross the line, finishing 8th with a time of 18:11.

Senior Draven Bunnell ran a personal best of 19:43, placing 23rd, while William Gilligan rounded out the team scoring with a seasonbest 20:28 to finish 31st.

The Mt. Lions now turn their attention to their home invitational this Wednesday, October 8, at Camp Kidd. Tucker County will host six visiting schools for the event. Senior athletes will be honored at 4:30 p.m., followed by the start of the girls’ race at 5:00 p.m.

The community is encouraged to come out and support the Mt. Lions as they race on their home course in what promises to be an exciting afternoon of competition.
