Trystan R. Shahan competed in the North American Grappling Association’s (NAGA) World Championships in Morristown, NJ on April 23, 2017. He placed second in the “gi” competition and third in the “no gi” competition.
This event hosted nearly 1,400 international participants. In January, Trystan also competed in the NAGA Ohio State Championship taking home first and second place awards. Trystan has been studying Jiu Jitsu since November under Professor Jason Cable, and trains with the Mid Ohio Valley Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Rey Diogo Team in Parkersburg, WV. Trystan is son of Tyson and Breanna Shahan of Parkersburg. He is grandson of Bill and Barbara Shahan of Parsons, WV.
