The Tucker County Mt. Lions Golf team wrapped up its season last week with regional play at Canaan Valley State Park, where 13 teams competed on wet and rainy conditions which resulted in some struggles across the board. Tucker would finish the match in sixth place and Brayden Grey would be the low scorer finishing 11th overall out of 52 contestants. The two teams to compete in the state tournament from the region will be Gilmer County and the Regional Champions Petersburg who were dominant all season in regional play. The region also saw two strong individual efforts from East Hardy’s, Jordan Teets (regional low medalist), and Tygarts Valley’s, Avery Row-Sponaugle, who will both go on to compete at the State Tournament for the individual championship.
