The Tucker County Baseball squad under first year head coach Tyler Anderson got their season underway last week playing three games.

The first matchup was against the Grafton Bearcats on the road in Grafton. Tucker’s Owen Helmick would homer in the match but that would prove to be the lone run for the Mt. Lions as they would fall 24-1.

Tucker would then travel to Petersburg, WV for a double header with the Cameron Dragons and the Petersburg Vikings. First off, the Mt. Lions would face the Dragons where they would lose 13-5, Tucker would then drop the second game of the double header to the Vikings 22-0.

Tucker will return to the diamond Monday, March 31st at Pendleton County, April 2nd at Moorefield and will return home April 4th against East Hardy, first pitch for the games is set for 6:00pm.
