The TCHS boys’ basketball team took part in a summer shootout in Fairmont this past weekend participating in three games. The Mt. Lions would start the shootout off against the AAAA Martinsburg Bulldogs with 4 of Tucker’s 5 starters posting double figures in scoring and taking the win 60-44.

Tucker would then take on their old-time rival in the AAA Elkins Tigers. The Mt. Lions would fall in the matchup by 12 points to the Tigers as Tucker is still down two returning starters from a year ago in Sam Marks and Xander Lambert. TCHS would then take on another AAA school, East Fairmont Bees.

The result would be very similar to the outcome of the previous game and Tucker would fall to the Bees by 14. Tucker would end the shootout with a final record of 1-2. They will return to the hardwood in Keyser to continue their summer league tournament on June 10th at 5pm against Hampshire County and against Petersburg at 7pm.
