PARSONS – The Mt. Lions hosted rival Philip-Barbour last Wednesday April 9th and dropped the contest 17-3.
Allen Molone took the loss at pitcher. Landon Dillard led Tucker County at the plate with a triple, single and scored 1 run. Kevin McDermott hit a double and scored 1 run while Justin Fike added a single and scored 1 run in the loss for the Mt. Lions
PARSONS – On Thursday April 10th Tucker County hosted Union and picked up their first win of the season 13-1.
Zac Haddox picked up the win at pitcher and came within 1 out of capturing a no hitter. Haddox collected 10 strikeouts in 5 innings of work. The Mt. Lions were led at the plate by Jake Pifer with 2 doubles and scored 2 runs. Kevin McDermott added a double and a single and Justin Fike crossed the plate scoring 3 runs in the contest for Tucker County.
MARLINTON – Kevin McDermott took the mound on the road on Friday April 11th and picked up a complete game win at Pocahontas County 8-6.
Landon Dillard finished the game with 2 singles and 2 runs scored. McDermott and Dusty Conrad scored 2 runs each. Logan Fridley had a RBI double and Jake Pifer added an RBI single for Tucker County in the win.
Tucker County(2-4) will host Moorefield tonight for a double header starting at 4:30pm. The Mt. Lions will then travel to Pendleton County on Thursday April 17th for 1 game at 5pm. Tucker County will travel to Union on Monday April 21st at 5pm and then go on the road to Preston on April 22nd for a 4:30pm start. Follow all Tucker County Sports info at
