BUCKHANNON – The Tucker County Girls’ and Boys’ Cross Country teams traveled to Buckhannon-Upshur on Tuesday September 24th to compete in the Buccaneer Invitational. The Girls’ race featured 57 runners and a total of 7 teams. In the Boys’ race there were 56 runners and 5 teams total.
The Tucker County Girls’ took home a 3rd place finish as team. The Tucker County Girls’ finished as follows: 11th-Kate Falls(22:04.14), 15th-Erin Chambers(22:34.30), 22nd-Hannah Hardy(24:09.56), 25th-Kristen Hicks(24:32.51), 27th-Karlee Smith(24:46.75), 33rd-Alaria Hudson(25:47.42), 37th-Addie Buckley(27:39.60), 38th-Riley Rohrbaugh(27:46.87), 40th-Katie Surguy(27:48.30), 44th-Caitlin Fladung(28:16.74), 46th-Olivia Myers(29:24.20), 47th-Kandace Nestor(29:52.06), 54th-Emma Wamsley(31:35.01) and 55th-Carley Dumire(32:46.07).
The Tucker County Boys’ team finished 5th and the Mt. Lions runners placed as follows: 14th-Will White(19:01.45), 15th-Holden Young(19:07.03), 29th-Clay Poling(20:20.21), 38th-Ethan Pacella(21:35.24), 39th-Wesley Strawderman(21:35.62), 42nd-Trent Eure(22:19.57), 43rd-Raine McCauley(22:20.52), 45th-Conor Greenlief(22:36.04) and 51st-Noah Lipscomb(24:04.60).
Both teams will return to action tonight Wednesday October 2nd at Liberty Harrison. Then Tucker County will travel to Apple Valley in Fairmont on Saturday October 5th for a 11am meet. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
