ST. MARYS – The Tucker County Girls’ and Boys’ Cross Country teams opened the season at St. Marys on Saturday August 24th at the Autumn Classic. The TCHS Girls’ placed 8th overall and the Boys’ teams finished 10th overall as a team in the event. In the Girls’ Race there was a total of 125 runners. The Tucker County runners finished as follows: 27th-Kate Falls(22:31.71), 29th-Erin Chambers(22:36.97), 57th-Hannah Hardy(25:16.03), 58th-Karlee Smith(25:31.40), 59th-Kristen Hicks(25:38.40), 74th-Addie Buckley(26:48.40), 83rd-Riley Rohrbaugh(27:56.56), 92nd-29:39.06), 93rd-Caitlin Fladung(29:39.40), 100th-Olivia Myers(30:09.91), 106th-Kandace Nestor(31:43.48), 111th-Emma Wamsley(32:56.58) and 117th-Carley Dumire(34:41.27).
In the Boys’ race 183 runners competed on the course. Tucker County runners placed as follows: 25th-Holden Young(18:53.91), 31st-Will White(19:09.23), 61st-Taylor Long(20:36.55), 81st-Ethan Pacella(21:17.89), 110th-Trent Eure(22:06.37), 115th-Clay Poling(22:11.22), 116th-Wesley Strawderman(22:13.25), 149th-Raine McCauley(23:47.08) and 156th-Noah Lipscomb(24:27.21).
