BUCKHANNON – The Mt. Lions Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country team traveled to Buckhannon to compete in the Buccaneer Invitational on September 27th.
Natalie Evans was the top finisher for the Girls’ team and she finished in 24th place out of 47 runners with a time of 26.16 and Mikala Betler came in 40th place with a time of 31:44.
Will White topped all Mt. Lion runners with a 9th place finish out of 61 runners with a time of 19:39. Other finishers for the Mt. Lions were as follows: 11th John Anderson(19:46), 19th Jonathan Rhodes(20:34), 21st Chris Chambers(20:40), 27th Josh Kincaid(21:08), 29th Jack Melnick(21:35), 38th Ryan Hart(22:54), 46th Noah Nelson(23:38), 52nd Cameron Wamsley(24:37), 57th Nathaniel Radar(26:32). The team finished 2nd out of 6 teams.
Both Cross Country teams will return to action on Saturday October 8th in Fairmont at the Times-News Invitational. Then on Tuesday October 11th both teams will travel to Keyser for the PVC Championship at 3pm and 4pm. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
