FAIRMONT – The Tucker County Girls’ and Boys’ Cross Country teams traveled to Fairmont for the Times Invitational which featured 10 boys’ teams and 9 girls’ teams on Saturday September 30th.
Sophomore Maya Paul was the top finisher for the Lady Mt. Lions as she finished 37th out of 82 runners with a time of 24:20.34. Other finishers and times for the Tucker County Girls’ are as follows: 53rd Natalie Evans(25:44.81), 71st Mikala Betler(28:04.20), 73rd Zoe Nestor(28:47.35) and 74th Caitlin Fladung(29:07.94). The Lady Mt. Lions finished 9th overall with a team score of 231 points.
Sophomore Will White was the top runner for the Tucker County Boys’ team with a 25th place finish out of 119 total runners with a time of 18:54.77. Other finishers for the Mt. Lions were as follows: 49th Joseph Lewandowski(19:56.92), 50th Jack Melnick(19:57.59), 58th Jonathan Rhodes(20:19.57), 61st Chris Chambers(20:37.00), 72nd Connor Greenlief(21:19.60), 84th Taylor Long(21:51.70), 97th Nathaniel Rader(23:05.69), 104th Davis Kines(24:15.74). The team finished 7th overall with 188 points as a team among 10 Boys’ teams. Both teams will return to action on October 10th at Berkeley Springs for the PVC Championship Meet at 4pm.
