Tucker County Girls’ Basketball Team Falls at Keyser 56-50

KEYSER – The Lady Mt. Lions Basketball team traveled to Class “AA” Keyser on Tuesday December 27th to face the Lady Tornados.

Tucker County trailed the whole game, but the Lady Mt. Lions fought back late and fell short to take the loss on the road 56-50.
Keyser stormed out of the gate in the first quarter to lead Tucker County 17-8 after one quarter of play. The Lady Tornados outscored the Lady Mt. Lions 9-8 in the second quarter to take a 10 point into the locker room at the half 26-16.

Tucker County would fight back in the third quarter, but Keyser would extend their lead to 38-26 after three quarters.

The Lady Mt. Lions outpaced Keyser in the fourth 24-18, but Keyser held off the comeback to pick up the big win over Tucker County 56-50.
Sydney Nestor led Tucker County with 22 points, 9 rebounds and Terra Kuhn added 18 points, 9 rebounds.
The Lady Mt. Lions(7-2) will host East Hardy tonight January 4th at home and then they will travel to Notre Dame on Friday January 6th. The Girls’ game will play first at Notre Dame at 5:45pm followed by the Boys’ game at 7:30pm. For more info or complete schedules go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
