On August 31st the Tucker County Girls’ Cross Country Team attended the GEICO meet at Cabell-Midland High School, site of the state meet in Huntington, WV. The girls’ varsity team finished 11th at of 17 teams. There were 141 runners in the girls AA-A varisty race and 117 in the JV race. Madison Mullenax was top finisher for Tucker County with a 19th place finish overall with a time of 22:26, a medal was presented to all finishing in the top 30. Other times for Tucker County is as follows: Taylor Ambrose 23:30, Madison Reall 24:41, Kaylee Nedrow 25:14, Jenna White 26:59, Amanda Harper 28:00, Miranda Siler 28:57, Jessica Kincaid 29:35, Bayli Helmick 30:09, Emily Siler 30:22 and Olivia Goff 32:19.
The Tucker County Girls’ Cross Country Team attended a meet at Keyser on Sept. 4th. The Lady Mt. Lions won the meet. Madison Mullenax came in first with a time of 22:50, Taylor Ambrose finished second with a time of 24:24, coming in third was Madison Reall at 24:49. The remaining Tucker County runners finished as follows: Kaylee Nedrow 25:33, Jenna White 27:16, Miranda Siler 27:48, Amanda Harper 28:36, Jessica Kincaid 29:07, Bayli Helmick 30:49, Emily Siler 35:57, Olivia Goff 36:58.
Their next meet was scheduled for Sept. 10th at Frankfort then they will compete in the Forest Festival Invitational on Sept. 14th in Elkins for a 9am start.
