Tucker County Girls dominate Tygarts Valley 64-19

HAMBLETON – The Lady Mt. Lions hosted Tygarts Valley for a varsity only contest on Thursday December 11th. Tucker County came out strong and cruised to the victory 64-19.

The Lady Mt. Lions lead early and often as the first quarter ended with a 13-4 Tucker County advantage. The home team outscored the Lady Bulldogs 17-4 in the second quarter to lead 30-8 at the half.

The offense continued to roll and the defense held Tygarts Valley to 3 points in the third. Coach Ambrose pulled the starters in the third quarter as the Lady Mt. Lions led 48-11 after three. The reserves finished the game for Tucker County as they picked up the PVC Conference win by the final score of 64-19.

Sydney Nestor led the Lady Mt. Lions with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Aiyana Kachmarek added 10 points and 8 rebounds for Tucker County.

The Lady Mt. Lions will return to action today Wednesday December 17th at home against PVC foe Moorefield. Tucker County will then travel to Petersburg on Tuesday December 23rd.
