PARSONS – The Mt. Lions hosted Pendleton County on Monday April 1st. In the contest Tucker County struggled to get the offense going and Pendleton County were active with the bats to get the victory by the final score of 16-1. Easton Snyder led Tucker County with a double and a single. Alec Cummings also had 2 hits for the Mt. Lions in the loss.
KINGWOOD – Tucker County traveled to Preston on Saturday April 6th for one game. The Preston team used a big 4th inning to pull away from the Mt. Lions and never look back as they took the win by the final score of 9-1.
Cameron Wamsley handled the pitching duties for Tucker County to start the game. Corrick Ambrose and Zach Colebank entered the game for Tucker County in relief action. Colebank, Wamsley, Shane Humphrey, Cole Rapp and Easton Snyder collected one hit each for the Mt. Lions in the 9-1 loss.
MOOREFIELD – Tucker County traveled to Moorefield on Tuesday April 9th for 1 game. The Yellowjackets jumped out to a quick lead and never looked back as Moorefield picked up the win 19-0. Tucker County struggled to put runs on the board. Shane Humphrey started the game for the Mt. Lions. Zach Colebank and Liam Hood came into the game in relief at the pitching position. Gariet Pennington, Christian Purnell and Cummings collected one hit each for Tucker County in the loss.
PARSONS – The Mt. Lions hosted Harman on Saturday April 13th. The game came down to the wire as Tucker County got the victory on a walk-off single in the late innings by the final score of 2-1. The score was tied 1-1 in the bottom of the 8th inning when Tucker County’s Zach Colebank singled on a 0-2 count to drive in the run and gave the Mt. Lions the win in dramatic fashion. Cameron Wamsley got the start for Tucker County at pitcher. Wamsley collected 14 strikeouts in the contest. Tucker County collected 7 hits in the game. Colebank went 3 for 4 at the plate to lead Tucker County on offense. Myles Paugh and Easton Snyder had multiple hits for Tucker County in the game.
