TUCKER COUNTY VOLLEYBALL DROP 3 MATCHES IN BUSY WEEK

HAMBLETON – The Tucker County Volleyball team hosted Pendleton County on Monday October 11th for a JV / Varsity contest.

The Lady Wildcats JV won the JV match 2-0, 25-16 and 25-17.  In the Varsity match Pendleton County took Set 1: 25-11.  The Lady Mt. Lions fought back in Set 2 with a 25-23 win to tie the match at 1-1.  In the third set both teams battled back a fourth as the Set went past the 25 mark with the Lady Wildcats getting the narrow set win 28-26.  Pendleton County then went on to win Set 4 by the count of 25-17 to give the visiting team the 3-1 match win.

 

LOST CREEK – The Lady Mt. Lions traveled to South Harrison for a JV/ Varsity contest on Wednesday October 13th.

In the JV match the Lady Hawks JV team took Set 1: 25-12, but the Tucker County JV battled back to win Set 2: 25-21.  The South Harrison JV team then took Set 3: 25-16 to give the Lady Hawk JV the match win.  In the Varsity contest Tucker County jump out to a 1-0 advantage as the Lady Mt. Lions took Set 1: 25-21.  South Harrison fought back in the next set as they won Set 2: 25-13.  The Lady Hawks also won Set 3 in a close battle 26-24.  Tucker County was unable to force at 5th set as South Harrison took Set 4: 25-16.  This would give South Harrison the 3-1 Match win over Tucker County.

 

HAMBLETON – Tucker County hosted Preston for a JV / Varsity contest on Thursday October 14th.

In the JV contest Preston won Set 1: 25-22.  The Lady Mt. Lions JV took Set 2: 25-18.  Then the Lady Knights JV won Set 3: 25-23 to take the JV Match win 2-1.   Preston would win Set 1 of the Varsity match 25-22.  The Lady Knights then got the win in Set 2: 25-19.  The Lady Mt. Lions could not force a 4th set as Preston won Set 3: 25-23 to capture the Match win 3-0.

 

The Lady Mt. Lions will host Moorefield on Thursday October 21st at 6pm and then Tucker County will travel to Union on Monday October 25th at 6pm.  For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
