The TCHS girls’ basketball team wrapped up its preseason last week with a commanding win over AAAA Buckhannon-Upshur High School. The Lady Mt. Lions defeated the Lady Buccaneers by a final score of 81–39.
The Tucker defense and pressure were once again suffocating and on full display, just as they were in their first preseason matchup with Frankfort. Tucker was led on the night by Courtney Shaffer, who chipped in 24 points. Izzy Kitzmiller notched 17 points, Makenna Evans added 16, Willow Carroll scored 7, and both Peyton Hicks and Addie Moats finished with 6.
Tucker will now enter regular-season play with a trip to face the Lady Tigers of AAA Elkins High School on Wednesday, December 3, at 6:00 p.m.
