Despite a shortened week with just two matches, the Tucker County High School golf team showed promising play both on the road and at home.
On Tuesday, the team traveled to Bel Meadow’s Golf Course for a 9-hole match hosted by South Harrison High School. The Mt. Lions finished in second place, highlighted by a stellar performance from junior Nate Davis, who earned low medalist honors with a score of 42, leading the field individually.
The following day, Tucker County hosted a 9-hole, 5-team match at their home course in Canaan Valley. The Mt. Lions battled through a competitive field to secure third place overall. Juniors Nate Davis and Drew Simmons continued their strong play, both finishing in the top 10 individually; Nate placing 5th and Drew earning 10th.
Tucker returns to the green on Tuesday, September 2 at Glenville Golf Course.
