The Tucker County Mt. Lions hosted longtime rival, the Southern Garrett Rams, this past Friday night. It was senior night for nine Mt. Lion football players on a perfect night in Parsons. It was a game that was never close and never in question as Tucker produced five turnovers on defense, had a 100-yard rusher, 100-yard receiver and a 250-yard passer on offense as well as producing a special teams touchdown via a punt return. Tucker scored on its two opening possessions on a 5-yard run by Jared Reall, its second, off a 91-yard screen pass from Sam Marks to Garrett Wilfong. With neither two-point conversion successful, Tucker was up 12-0. Sam Marks would add another score before the end of the 1st quarter with a 1-yard touchdown plunge. The conversion was good, and Tucker was up 20-0. The second quarter started off with another touchdown from Marks to Wilfong, this time from 11 yards out. Marks would throw another touchdown in the second, this one via an 86-yarder to Reid Kisamore. With the conversions, the Lions were up 36-0. Jared Reall would get in on the action before the break on a 7-yard run into the end zone. The two-point attempt failed, and Tucker was leading 42-0 at halftime. Reall would keep the party going to start the second half with a 67-yard scamper to pay dirt. The defense would continue its shutout, and special teams would join the scoring barrage, as senior, Trevan Bonner, would take a 52-yard punt return to the house. With the score Tucker was up to a 56-0 lead. The Rams would get on the board in the third pushing the score to 56-6. Sophomore Lucas Barb would do his part by adding a 74- yard touchdown scramble to the goal, to end scoring in the third quarter as the score was 62-6. The Mt. Lions would not score in the fourth and the Rams would add one more score to make the final 62-12. Tucker’s Sam Marks was 9 of 12 passing for 280 yards and 3 touchdowns to 1 interception. Garrett Wilfong had 3 catches of 109 yards and 2 touchdowns, Jared Reall carried the rock 12 times for 126 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Mt. Lions defense got interceptions from Reid Kisamore and Keyleen Eichelberger as well as fumble recoveries from Gavin Nestor, Josh Crossland and Lucas Barb.

With the win, Tuckers record remains unblemished at 8-0. The team will have their bye week this week and return to play at Petersburg the following week.
