The Tucker County Boys Basketball team traveled to Baker, WV last Friday for their lone game of the week due to the weather. Tucker would battle some rebounding and shooting woes throughout the contest, getting outrebounded by 8 boards and shooting 0-19 from behind the arc. However, the Mt. Lions did what Championship caliber programs do, and that was to find a way to win on an off night. With school being canceled all week long, and the chance to get in the gym together was limited, Tucker was happy to take home the W. The game was tight through the first half with the game tied at 15 all after the first period, and with East Hardy leading by 3 at the half, 28-25. Tucker’s defense would prove to be the difference in the second half, holding the Cougars to 4 points in the third quarter to take the lead 37-32. Tucker would again outscore their opponent in the fourth, 16-10 to take the win 53-42. The Mt. Lions remain undefeated at 9-0 on the season with a home matchup this Wednesday against Pendleton County, tipoff is set for 6:00 pm.

Bonner 16 pts, 4 reb, FT 2-3; Wilfong 16 pts, 4 reb, FT 2-2; Mitchell 11 pts, 4 reb, FT 3-3; Marks 4 pts, 2 reb; Lambert 4 pts, 6 reb; Arnold 2 pts, 1 reb
