PHILIPPI – The Wildcats football team traveled to Philip-Barbour last Wednesday September 21st. Tucker Valley trailed 16-0 after the first quarter and went on the drop the away game by the final score of 42-0.
Philip-Barbour got on the score board first as they led early 8-0. A turnover by Tucker Valley led to another score for Philip-Barbour in the first quarter to make the score 16-0 after one.
The Wildcats were unable to get their offense moving and Philip-Barbour would strike pay dirt two more times in the second quarter to put the score to 28-0 Philip-Barbour at the half.
In the second half Tucker Valley struggled once again and Philip-Barbour would score two touchdowns in the third quarter to make the score 42-0 after three. Tucker Valley was unable to get on the scoreboard on the night and the game ended with Philip-Barbour getting the win 42-0. The only bright stop for the Wildcats was a 45 yard pass play from Jake Hamric to Trevor Jones. Jones pulled in the pass with one hand and raced down the sidelines for a big gain.
