PARSONS – The Wildcats Middle School Football team hosted South Harrison on Wednesday October 6th. Tucker Valley led 14-0 after one quarter and the Wildcats never trailed as they got the win at home 35-8.
The Wildcats scored first as Sam Marks connected with Reid Kisamore for a 25 yard touchdown pass. The 2 point conversion failed to make the score 6-0 Tucker Valley with 5:25 left in the first quarter. South Harrison then fumbled the ball and Tucker Valley recovered at the Wildcats 47. The homestanding Wildcats then capitalized on the turnover with a 12 yard touchdown pass from Marks to Kisamore with 2:34 left in the first quarter. The PAT was good on a Luke Barb run to push the Tucker Valley lead to 14-0 after one quarter of play. Late in the second quarter South Harrison would turn the ball over again on a backwards pass to give the Wildcats the ball with 55 seconds left in the second quarter. Tucker Valley then scored on a 46 yard touchdown pass from Marks to Cameron Judy with 44 seconds left in the first half. The 2 point conversion was good on a Keelyn Eichelberger run to make the score 22-0 Tucker Valley at the halftime break.
In the third Tucker Valley would score once again on a 2 yard touchdown pass from Marks to Judy. The PAT failed to put the score to 28-0 Tucker Valley with 5:41 left in the third quarter. This would be the only score in the third as the fourth quarter started with the score 28-0 Wildcats. Tucker Valley would reach the endzone in early in the fourth on a 13 yard touchdown run by Mickey Mitchell. The PAT kick was good by Barb to make the score 35-0 Tucker Valley with 7:55 left in the game. South Harrison then got on the scoreboard with 2:46 left in the contest on a 85 yard touchdown run. The 2 point conversion was good to make the final score of the game 35-8 Tucker Valley.
The 8th grade Tucker Valley Football players, Cheerleaders and support staff were recognized with their parents before the game on October 6th.
