MOOREFIELD – The Tucker Valley Middle Football team traveled to Moorefield for the first game of the season last Wednesday September 4th. The Wildcats got 2 offensive touchdowns and 1 defensive touchdown to take the game by the final score of 18-0.
Tucker Valley got things started early on their first play on offense Ethan Rosenau connected with Ashton Lycliter for a 90 touchdown pass to make the score 6-0 after a failed PAT. In the second quarter the Wildcats got a big play on defense as Gavin Mullenax intercepted a Moorefield pass and he returned it 60 yards for a touchdown. The PAT failed again to make the halftime score 12-0 Tucker Valley.
In the third quarter the Wildcats added another score on a 1 yard touchdown run from Lycliter to push the Tucker Valley lead to 18-0 through three quarters of play. The fourth quarter ended with neither team scoring to make the final score 18-0 Tucker Valley.
