TUCKER VALLEY GIRLS’ AND BOYS’ BASKETBALL UPDATE

HAMBLETON – The Tucker Valley Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball teams hosted Union on Monday January 30th.  In the Girls’ game the Lady Wildcats won the contest 36-18.  Peyton Hicks led Tucker Valley with 11 points.  Emma Wilfong and Madelynn Helmick added 8 points each.  In the Boys’ game Tucker Valley picked up the win 61-30.  Ethan Cummings led the Wildcats with 22 points and Evan Witt added 8 points for Tucker Valley in the win.

HAMBLETON – The Wildcat Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball teams hosted Aurora on Tuesday January 31st.  In the first game of the night the Tucker Valley Girls’ fell in the contest 34-17.  Peyton Hicks had 6 points for the Lady Wildcats and Kenna Griffith added 4 points for Tucker Valley in the loss.  In the Boys’ game Tucker Valley got the win over Aurora 59-29.  Ethan Cummings led Tucker Valley with 27 points and Luke Barb added 15 points in the win for the Wildcats.

 

AURORA – The Tucker Valley Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball teams traveled to Aurora on Wednesday February 1st.  In the Boys’ game the Wildcats won the contest 59-28.  Luke Barb led Tucker Valley with 19 points and Logan Kopec added 9 points in the Wildcats win.  In the Girls’ game Aurora got the win over the Lady Wildcats 32-18.  Emma Wilfong, Aleah Jackson and Kenna Griffith led Tucker Valley with 4 points each.

 

HAMBLETON – The Tucker Valley Boys’ team hosted Barrackville Middle on Saturday February 4th for a JV and Varsity contest.  I the JV game Barrackville got the win over the Tucker Valley JV 41-14.  Tucker Valley JV was led by Isaiah Leary and John Tuttle with 4 points each.  In the Varsity game Tucker Valley fell in the contest 44-30.  Ethan Cummings led the Wildcats with 16 points and Luke Barb added 10 points for Tucker Valley in the loss.

 

The Tucker Valley Girls’ and Boys’ will return to action tonight Wednesday February 8th.  The Girls’ team will host Philippi and the Boys’ will travel to Philippi on the same night.  Both teams will then play Davis-Thomas at TCHS on Saturday February 11th with the Girls’ game starting at 11am.  For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
