Tucker Valley Girls’ Basketball Finish Regular Season

BAKER – The Tucker Valley Girls’ Basketball team traveled to East Hardy Middle School on Monday February 10th for a JV and Varsity contest. In the first game the Lady Wildcat JV team picked up the win by the final score of 31-15. Makenna Evans and Emily Snyder led the Tucker Valley JV team with 8 points each in the win for the Tucker Valley JV. In the Varsity contest the Lady Wildcats also got the win by the score of 31-6. Brylee Wetzel led Tucker Valley with 8 points and Katie Hicks added 7 points for the Lady Wildcats in the victory.

HAMBLETON – The Lady Wildcats Girls’ Basketball hosted Pendleton County on Friday February 14th. In the first game the Tucker Valley JV team fell by the final score of 28-17. Reagan Herron led the Tucker Valley JV with 6 points and Makenna Evans added 3 points in the loss for the Lady Wildcats JV. In the Varsity contest Tucker Valley pulled away in the second half to get the win by the score of 43-34. Macy Helmick led Tucker Valley with 21 points and Brylee Wetzel added 11 points in the Lady Wildcats victory. The Tucker Valley Varsity team have won 8 straight games and have qualified for the PVL Tournament and have earned a #3 seed and will play #2 Petersburg in the first round.

Tucker Valley(13-5) varsity team were scheduled to open PVL Tournament play on Tuesday February 18th against Petersburg at Capon Bridge. The winner of that game will play in the PVL Championship game on Thursday February 20th at Capon Bridge at 7pm against the winner of Capon Bridge / Pendleton County.
