Tucker Valley Girls’ Win Pendleton County Tournament

The Lady Wildcats varsity team played a first round tournament game at Pendleton County on Jan 30th against Marlinton and picked up the win in dominating fashion 56-2. Sydney Nestor led Tucker Valley in scoring with 18 points and Sydney Moore added 16 points in the win.

On Jan 31st Tucker Valley Girls’ hosted Elkins for a JV and Varsity contest. In the first contest the Lady Wildcats JV lost in a heart breaker 23-22. Riley Evans led Tucker Valley with 10 points and Kelcee James added 9 points and 14 rebounds. In the varsity contest Tucker Valley got the win 45-31 over the Lady Hornets. Sydney Nestor led the Lady Wildcats with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Sydney Moore added 11 points and 10 rebounds and Dominique Meadows pulled down a team high 13 rebounds and scored 10 points.

On Feb 1st the Lady Wildcats varsity team traveled to Pendleton County to face the host team for the Tournament Championship game. Tucker Valley exploded out to a 12-0 first quarter lead and never looked back winning the game 33-11. Sydney Nestor led Tucker Valley with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Emily Crosten and Sydney Moore added 6 points each in the win. The Lady Wildcats will travel to Philippi Middle on Feb 5th and then host Petersburg on Feb 6th. They will finish out the busy week with a road contest at Belington Middle on Feb 7th.
