Tucker Valley runs by Tygarts Valley at Home 36-0

PARSONS – The Wildcats Middle School Football team hosted Tygarts Valley Middle on Wednesday October 23rd. Tucker Valley dominated the game start to finish in route to a 36-0 victory.

Tygarts Valley received the opening kick, but the Bulldog offense had to punt the ball back to Tucker Valley. Ashton Lycliter returned the punt 47 yards to the Bulldog 26 yard line. Then two plays later Lycliter scored on a 26 yard touchdown run. The 2 point conversion failed to make the score 6-0 Tucker Valley with 5:03 left in the first quarter. Tygarts Valley was forced to punt again and the Wildcats Maddox Anderson received the punt and returned it 61 yards for a touchdown with 2:16 left in the first. The 2 point conversion was good to push the Tucker Valley lead to 14-0.

In the second quarter the Wildcats scored again on a 15 yard touchdown run by Joseph Wratchford. The 2 point conversion was good again to make the score 22-0 Wildcats with 7:47 left in the second quarter. Tucker Valley then fumbled the ball on their next possession, but the Bulldogs fumbled the ball right back to the Wildcats with 2:10 left in the first half. Tucker Valley then scored once more on an 8 yard touchdown run by Racer Channell with 1:53 left in the second quarter. The 2 point conversion was good to make the score at the halftime break 30-0 Tucker Valley.

The Wildcats then got their reserve players in the game in the second half. Tucker Valley scored again in the third quarter on a Quarterback sneak by Sam Marks to make the final score on the night 36-0 Tucker Valley.

Tucker Valley honored their 8th grade Cheerleaders, football managers and football players at halftime. Those honored were as follows- Cheer: Addie Hicks, Katie Hicks, Jacie Pennington, Laney Burns, Nevaeh Alexander, Caitlyn McCrum, Marissa Judy and Brylee Wetzel. Managers: Jayden Moore, Tabitha Adams and Abby Wilfong. Football: Racer Channell, Maddox Anderson, Ethan Rosenau, Jeremiah Wratchford, Joseph Wratchford, Blaike Adams, Gavin Mullenax, Ashton Lycliter, Ethan McCrum, Abram Pennington and Owen Knotts.

Tucker Valley(7-1) will host the PVL Championship game against Moorefield tonight Wednesday October 30th with kickoff set for 6:30pm. The game will can be listened to online at TuckerCountySports.Com, pregame will start around 6:15pm. For more info visit TuckerCountySports.Com.
