The Tucker Valley Wildcats enjoyed a successful night on the hardwood as both the junior varsity and varsity squads picked up convincing wins over the Tygarts Valley Bulldogs.
The evening began with a great showing from the Wildcat JV team, which earned a 33–19 victory. A. Arnett led the way with 10 points, while B. Simmons added six. M. Dillard, E. Wolford, and C. Triplett each chipped in four points as Tucker Valley.
In the varsity contest, Tucker Valley wasted no time asserting control. The Wildcats exploded out of the gate, building a commanding 25–2 lead by the end of the first quarter. That momentum carried into halftime, with Tucker Valley holding a 37–13 advantage.
Tygarts Valley showed some fight in the third quarter, but the Wildcats continued to dictate the pace, extending their lead to 46–24 heading into the final period. Tucker Valley closed out the night strong, locking a 62–39 victory.
Q. Teter led all scorers with an impressive 26 points, providing a spark on the offensive end throughout the game. F. Hyre added 10 points, while R. Sexton contributed nine. L. Harper was a force in the paint, finishing with six points and an outstanding 19 rebounds to anchor the Wildcats’ inside presence.
Wildcats will return to play on December 29 for the two day Mylan Tournament.
