The Tucker County Boys’ Cross Country Team made history last Thursday at the Regional Meet. They will advance to the State Meet for the third consecutive time as a team, which has never been accomplished in school history. The Mt. Lions came in second place with a score of 43 behind Doddridge Co winning Regionals with a 23. The Lions had three members in the top ten making the First Team All-Region Team and two members making the Second Team All-Region Team. Lynk Suesli came in fifth overall with a time of 18:08. Cameron Judy was sixth with a time of 18:13. Alex Collar finished eighth at 18:19. Nate Ricottilli crossed at 19:20 giving him eleventh place. Allen Collar twentieth, ran his season record at 20:34. Freshmen, William Gilligan 21st put down a time of 20:34 and Ryan Scott 26th finished with a 21:39.
The Lady Lions will also advance a runner on Saturday, November 2nd at the State Meet. Addi Moats will make her third appearance for the Ladies. Moats was twelfth overall with a time of 23:24. This was her season record, and it placed her on the Second Team All-Region Team. Lilly Collar ran her PR 31:29 giving her 28th place. Adrianna Tuttle 30th, ran her season record at 38:34. Kaydence Rosier 33rd crossed for the Ladies at 41:31.
The Class A State Meet will be held November 2nd at Cabell Midland High School. The Girls Race starts at 3:00pm and the Boys will run at 3:45pm. Good Luck Mt. Lions!
