TV Wildcats Show Fight in Back-to-Back Matches

The Tucker Valley Lady Wildcats hit the court for a busy start to the week, playing two hard-fought matches on Monday and Tuesday against Davis Thomas and Elkins.

In Monday’s home matchup against Davis Thomas the Wildcats battled through three competitive sets. The Bears took the opening set 25-9, but Tucker Valley stormed back in the second set, earning a 25-22 victory behind strong serving from Mia Lambert, Marlee Evans, and Ally Wright. The third and deciding set went to Davis Thomas, 25-14.

Top servers for TV in the match included Ally Wright in the first set and Mia Lambert in the third. Wright also set up several scoring opportunities for her teammates, while Lambert and Evans led the team with several key spikes. Defensively, Aleena Reed and Brooklee Hebb made multiple saves to keep rallies alive. Davis Thomas saw impressive play from all players, including their powerhouse Everly Evans.

On Tuesday, the Wildcats traveled to Elkins for another exciting three-set match. Elkins claimed the first set 25-8, but the Lady Wildcats answered with a strong 25-23 win in the second set, showcasing excellent serving from Laila George and Aleena Reed. The third set was tightly contested before Elkins closed it out 25-19.

The Wildcats’ serving was consistent throughout, with Mia Lambert, Marlee Evans, and Ally Wright standing out in the final set. The defense was anchored by Kosi Slaubaugh, Avery Decker, Lambert, and Hebb, all of whom made several crucial saves. Evans and Wright also contributed key blocks at the net, helping the team stay in every set.

The JV Wildcats also took the court against both Davis Thomas and Elkins. Against DT, Tucker Valley fell in two sets (18-25, 12-25).

In Tuesday’s JV matchup with Elkins, the Lady Wildcats played two tight sets before falling 25-24 and 25-19.

This concludes the 2025 season for both Davis Thomas and Tucker Valley Volleyball.
